Slow Day

—4 days until graduation—

Today has been a slow day, mainly because I played hookie and didn't go to a lecture. I was in the library making the postcards for our graduation program/gift. There were several of us that felt the same way and just didn't want to go to the lecture. We are all so tired and burnt out.

It was lunch time when we were in the library but we didn't want to stop and lose our momentum so I was the lunch runner. I went across campus and got a bunch of to-go boxes and brought back lunch for the group. It was curry and it was pretty tasty.

I also spent some time in the morning photographing my work. And because I'm the only one with a "real" camera, I am getting asked to photograph several other student's work for them. I'm happy to do it, gives me an excuse to not attend lectures. But I don't have a tripod, so I found a blanket in a storage room downstairs and brought it. Michael Minelli gave me a funny look when he saw me walking across campus with a blanket under my arm. I said, "this is my tripod." and he looked even more confused.

In the evening, it was the 7-minute max open mic, but I didn't go to that either.
I have turned in my paper to the director's office. It's official people.

Bina and Christine were in my room for a while and then a huge moth appeared in my room, we all shrieked and tried frantically to swat at it. Finally my official bug-slapping-sandals were the perfect tool and I smacked it. Christine was sad that we killed it, so I made sure to thank it and apologize to the moth. Christine then noticed my sunglasses—Jaime, are those your sunglasses? my amazingly ridiculous orange and white cycling glasses. I said yes they are. She said, those are amazing. I said you haven't seen anything yet. I walk to the closet and pull out my cycling jersey and they both reacted with glee "is this your super power for the dance?!" I said, "Yes!" and then I said, "And, and—wait for it—" I pull the orange gloves from the closet, "—These!" They freaked out with amazement. I said, but shhh, don't tell anyone I want to surprise people.
